Sidra Fatima is an urban planner and strategist focused on equitable community development and infrastructure.
Sidra Fatima joined Estolano Advisors in 2026 as a director. She leads projects focused on workforce development, economic mobility, and stakeholder engagement, helping clients navigate complex challenges through strategic planning, facilitation, and partnership building.
Prior to joining Estolano Advisors, Sidra founded and led Urban Advising Collective, where she designed equity-centered strategies for foundations, non-profit coalitions, and public agencies. Her work included translating community priorities into a cultural district plan for Fresno's Chinatown, leading a countywide engagement process informing transportation policy recommendations, and landscape scans supporting long-term philanthropic investment strategies across California.
Previously, she served as a Program Officer with The Kresge Foundation's American Cities Program, where she convened local and national partners around shared prosperity and civic commons while advancing place-based development initiatives across cities including Fresno, Memphis, and New Orleans. In Fresno, she built a funder coordination table that aligned local and national philanthropic capital, grew the Foundation's annual investments in the region from $500,000 to $3 million, and supported efforts to strengthen civic infrastructure, resident leadership, and nonprofit capacity. She also served on the steering committee for Reimagining the Civic Commons, a national initiative advancing equitable investment in public space across eight cities. Earlier in her career, she worked as a Community Preservation Fellow with the City of Boston, and as an Associate Environmental Planner at Parsons Corporation.
Sidra holds a Master’s in Urban Planning from Harvard University's Graduate School of Design and a Bachelor of Science in Urban and Regional Planning from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. Outside of work, she is a ceramic artist and writer.
