Vannesa Reyes Salazar joined EA in April 2024 and brings four years of work experience in climate adaptation and resilience, extreme heat, active transportation, and sustainability. She has experience working with diverse public sector entities, including state and regional agencies, transportation departments, and non-profits.

As an Associate, Vannesa brings a thoughtful, intersectional, and collaborative approach to her climate resilient infrastructure and mobility justice work. She is passionate about co-creating solutions with community members to advance resilience, sustainability, and transportation access in marginalized and frontline communities. Her skills include policy research and analysis, engaging with diverse and multilingual stakeholders, and qualitative data analysis.

Vannesa received her Master of Urban and Regional Planning at UCLA, where her coursework focused on transportation equity and infrastructure. She previously received her Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Analysis from Scripps College, where she focused on sustainability and urban studies.
