Joanny is an urban planner focused on achieving mobility justice in underinvested communities. 

Joanny joined Estolano Advisors in 2020 and brings more than five years of experience working in racial equity, environmental justice, and public policy fields to the EA team.  They provide support to an assortment of projects related to transportation, air quality, and public safety. As part of the transportation justice practice group, Joanny works on a diverse range of projects including transit-oriented development planning, policy research, and community engagement.

Joanny calls on their experience as a program coordinator, advocate, and educator to support report writing, stakeholder engagement, technical assistance, data analysis, and facilitation. They are passionate about working with community leaders to combat equity issues through responsible planning.

Joanny obtained their Master of Urban and Regional Planning degree from UCLA. Previously, the obtained a Bachelor of Art in Ethnic Studies from UC Berkeley. Outside of work Joanny enjoys crafting and spending time with their mini dachshund, Soledad.
